She was a challenging, but respected and adored teacher. Although she has retired from teaching in the school systems, she says wherever she goes, she always ends up
Single Parent to Graduate Student Enrolling in Northcentral University, NCU to obtain my graduate degree in education is one of accomplishment and a new beginning to a new career. I have always had a passion for indifference, injustice, and making a difference. I have an associate’s degree in computer science and a bachelor’s degree in Human and Family Services. I went from having a degree in computer science to a human service degree because of a family tragedy that made me evaluate my purpose in life as an individual. I am currently a case manager with a mental health/mental retardation organization and a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) volunteer.
My fourth grade teacher, Mrs. Mackey made a positive effect on my life. She was a very impactful teacher who even today I speak to often. She went above and beyond to ensure that her students were achieving in her classroom. Mrs. Mackey had a relationship with every student in her class and kept up with us through our middle school and high school years. We had such a relationship that she wrote a recommendation letter for me when I was applying for scholarships.
Eagerness to learn, attention to details, and willingness to put in required effort and time, all qualities I wish to continue to practice as a student in AP English 12. As a student of organization and willingness to participate in classroom discussions and interactions, I believe those attributes of me as a student set me up for success in this class. My enthusiasm in learning has been a leading factor in my decision to apply for this rigorous course my senior year. While there are other options available this is the course best suited for me due to my attention to details and readiness to dedicate time and effort into this class. As an AP English student I am mainly interested in continuing to practice and develop reading and writing skills
Personal Statement For Seniors I am the type of person that has always thought outside the box. I 've never been afraid to succeed in what possibly my friends and family have never delt or ventured into. Coming from never being in charge of anything important really I soon began to take role of captain but not in anything militaristic but captain for a few different community soccer teams throughout my life. I believe in all that I have always been a guy that takes charge in things I truly care about and succeed in them.
Much to the relief of my parents, my pat answer of a professional athlete, to “What do you want to do in the future?” evaporated when evaluations indicated I had no talent. Not knowing what careers suited me, I participated in summers programs at Ithaca, Adelphi, Syracuse respectively explored Sports Management, Business, and Engineering careers and worked on my English. I had great experiences, especially at Syracuse, but was still at a loss as to a profession.
There are many different things that can impact students in their high school years. Whether these things are friends, activities, or the sports they participate in they all impact the student. Many opportunities are presented to students in high school, although not many impacts the student beyond high school, I believe this opportunity will impact me forever. I would love to be a part of the Early College Program this coming spring. I believe the program will do nothing but help me grow and strive to be a better student and continue being involved.
Personal Statement for Graduate School I was born and grew up in Afghanistan and finished my school in Kabul Afghanistan, in a school which was trying to encourage girls and women to get education and be active in their social life. Growing as women in Afghanistan is not easy. Even sometime you need to fight for your basic rights such going out, school or you cannot decide about your life. In some areas such as rural areas women even do not know about their rights. They think that their families, father, mother or brother have right to make decision for them and women should not get education.

Last fall, I was honored to attend a networking event at Quarles & Brady LLP in Milwaukee, WI through Marquette University Law School. There, I met exceptional attorneys who were welcoming to all the students. That event has left me with a desire to work for such a respected and professional company, like Quarles & Brady LLP. Growing up, I was introduced to the importance of a dependable legal team in conversations with my family in Brazil. My uncle runs a labor & employment and business law firm in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
I will never forget the advice she gave me. My second grade homeroom teacher helped me in discovering my true personality and helped me to uncover the confident, charismatic, and dominant person that I am now. Thanks to her, I became a leader, and I never carried anyone's books
I believe that I should win this scholarship because my education is essential to me. I want to be able to focus on my path to success without having to worry about my college debt. In college, I would like to major in Foreign Language and Literature because I am interested in the many cultures and languages that are spoken globally. Participating in a study abroad program would allow me to personally see and experience the cultures and people of this world. I am also a member of a mentorship program at my school by the name of Alpha Esquire.
She was fond of saying that certain things could only be accomplished "by God and Shakespeare". She was amazing. Brilliant. Too good to be a high school teacher, everyone agreed, but now I think she was just right for it. I felt safe inside the walls of her classroom, and at the very same time I could feel the world expanding around me.
The single largest impact that any ailment has had on my life in undoubtedly the cancer my aunt suffered from. To see another human being in so much pain was heart wrenching. The manner in which the hospital staff treated my aunt especially during chemotherapy left an indelible imprint upon me. The professionalism, dedication and selflessness shown by all staff members to curtail suffering and bring her relief brought about a deep sense of admiration for the medical profession and I knew I wanted to be a doctor.
When most people think back to their grade school teachers there is usually one that stands out the most. For me it’s the best teacher I’ve ever had, for some it’s the worst teacher they’ve ever had. Mrs. Bartley, a name that stands out when I think about the best teacher, because she pushed us to show us what we were capable of, she taught with a good attitude and she made sure everybody fully understood before we started to work on our assignments.
