I am most attracted to Loma Linda University’s mission to make man whole and continue the teaching and healing ministry of Jesus Christ and its commitment to faith and science. As a Seventh-day Adventist christian, the motto to make man whole has never been more personal than it is now. As I grow in my experience as a christian, to further the teaching and healing ministry of Jesus continues to take center stage. This mission and an understanding of the need for whole person care is something I seek to demonstrate and encourage through my profession as a nurse and involvement in my community.

Alabama School of Mathematics and Science is a riveting high school that I would love to become a student of. I believe that I deserve an opportunity to enroll because I wish to prepare for my future as best as I can, I have an interest in the school’s courses and activities, and ASMS provides a better learning experience than my current school. I know that ASMS would greatly prepare me for my future. I wish to attend college and medical school to become a psychiatrist, and ASMS would ready me for the hardships of both. It would also give me the chance to explore my options to see if that really is the path I wish to follow for my career.
A little over two years ago, I started working as a Community Support Individual for Pathways Transition Programs LLC. My primary responsibility is to teach children various coping skills to manage their behavior, I have determined that I want to be able to address the emotions behind the behaviors. My desire is to be able to help the children I work with come to terms with their past histories so they can move on in their lives towards adoption and other positive outcomes. Sometimes, the children are still going through issues such as, on-going traumas, the lost of a parent due to death or incarceration, etc and I would like to develop the skill set to be able to address these issues. I see pursuing my degree through Argosy University as being the next step to take in order to develop a competency in counseling.
I would like to be apart of ASB because I’m interested in helping Medea be the best school it can be. I always like to learn new things and I will appreciate new experiences learning from seventh and eighth graders. I am responsible and I am excited for my leadership skills to be tested. Also, I will gain more responsibility and learn more leadership skills throughout my time in ASB. As part of ASB, I will be able to work with other students who have similar interests and want to be fellow leaders at Medea.
Single Parent to Graduate Student Enrolling in Northcentral University, NCU to obtain my graduate degree in education is one of accomplishment and a new beginning to a new career. I have always had a passion for indifference, injustice, and making a difference. I have an associate’s degree in computer science and a bachelor’s degree in Human and Family Services. I went from having a degree in computer science to a human service degree because of a family tragedy that made me evaluate my purpose in life as an individual. I am currently a case manager with a mental health/mental retardation organization and a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) volunteer.
I look forward to helping students to develop a drive for personal academic excellence and a rich perspective on the world around them as they explore links between the individual, society, and the natural world. The potential of secondary geography is to stimulate an interest in the wider world through learning knowledge, both in and beyond the classroom, and acquiring geographical and transferable skills to last a lifetime. I am currently studying a broad-based geography degree ranging from economic to cultural geography, but also including staples of classroom geography including development, coastal processes and volcanology. My subject knowledge is strong and wide-ranging and aligned to both current GCSE and A-Level specifications and
After completing my B.S in Community Human Services at Empire State College, I felt extremely fulfilled in my accomplishment. I felt like I did accomplish my ultimate goal which was becoming qualified to work with Juveniles in the system to help make a difference in their lives. I thought I could have been a unique asset to the system where I can be of assistance in problem solving alongside my affiliates and bosses working together in unison to accomplish the same goal, which is to be effective administrators to foster growth and productivity in the lives of the youths. However, I quickly learn or come to a realization that our children of tomorrow need more than just an attentive ear, a shoulder to lean on, and an empathetic individual. In
Eagerness to learn, attention to details, and willingness to put in required effort and time, all qualities I wish to continue to practice as a student in AP English 12. As a student of organization and willingness to participate in classroom discussions and interactions, I believe those attributes of me as a student set me up for success in this class. My enthusiasm in learning has been a leading factor in my decision to apply for this rigorous course my senior year. While there are other options available this is the course best suited for me due to my attention to details and readiness to dedicate time and effort into this class. As an AP English student I am mainly interested in continuing to practice and develop reading and writing skills
Doctor of Social Work Program Application Personal Statement Ashley Newberry LCSW, LISW As I child, I was introduced to the human service field in a unique way. For as long as I can remember, my mother has had a human service profession and provided me with daily examples of how to help others. One of my earliest memories is riding out a hurricane while we stayed in the adult group home where my mother worked, assisting with safety measures for residents and providing comfort to her community. My mother worked in multiple residential programs throughout my life, specializing her work with individuals with developmental and physical disabilities.
When the edTPA program was first introduced to me at Dominican University in River Forest, Illinois, it seemed like a daunting task and I wondered what I had gotten myself into. Just thinking about student teaching gave me anxiety due to the myriad of tasks required by the edTPA program and the confusing academic language that described them. For the past several months, I have been preparing myself for this huge undertaking that I know I must face.

As a master teacher responsible for overseeing communication within the institution, my primary focus is on ensuring that communication is clear, open, and easily understood by all members of the school community. I achieve this by sharing information in a timely and transparent manner, making sure that important updates, announcements, and changes are communicated promptly. To effectively convey messages, I am mindful of using appropriate language that is accessible and understandable for the intended audience. I avoid jargon and technical terms that may hinder comprehension. Moreover, I actively encourage two-way communication, fostering an environment where individuals feel comfortable expressing their thoughts, ideas, and concerns.

Social Work-MSW I always received great satisfaction from helping others. I remember at an early age, helping my grandfather with chores that he was no longer able to do for himself. As I got older, my grandfather became more dependent on me. I helped him cook, clean, and made sure he kept her doctor appointments. I truly enjoyed being someone he depended on and confided in, in his last years.
