I completed my Bachelor and Master of Social Work program at Northern Kentucky University. I used this education to begin a clinical practice serving children and adolescents in the community. I specialized my work in trauma focused care throughout my years as a social worker. At this point in my career, I have received an independent clinical license in six states and have directed multiple types of programs. I have always had a passion towards expanding my understanding of clinical practice and evolving my own practice.

I have been working as a Health Care Assistant for the past five years and feel that this has given me an insight into my Adult Nursing. During my time as a HCA, I felt that there were limitations on what knowledge I had and the duties I could perform. My interest in adult Nursing grew after I witnessed a patient go into cardiac arrest. I was unable to do a great deal apart from watching the doctors and nurses rush over to assist the patient. They were amazing in their ability to react quickly and communicated effectively to ensure that the patient received excellent care.
Ultimately I hope to found a non-profit organization that offers low income families therapy among other services. I have worked with HR staffing policies and reconciliation during my time at Rockwell Collins. I am currently the lead contact on HR staffing updates for the organization's Engineering Program Management group. I update the staffing headcount for each cost center group in the department, and work with Program Managers to answer ad hoc inquiries on their weekly staffing updates. Although my experience with HR regulations is limited, I am eager to learn and hope to put my education in managerial concepts to use in this role. I am applying for the Community Foundation scholarship. Growing up in middle Tennessee has been a blessing for me and my family because of the many opportunities that the region offers. During high school, I participated in youth orchestra programs in Murfreesboro and Nashville through the Blair School of Music.
