Before I started Pfeiffer, I believed college would be scary. I was so nervous and worried that college would not work for me. I knew it would be a lot different from high school not only in academics but also in environment. I knew the work would be harder and it would be difficult to make friends.
To be successful in college I knew I would have to study hard and work on time management. This was difficult for me because I was a big procrastinator. I would always put homework off until the last minute. I was a hard worker but when I put homework off it made it harder to do and harder to turn in on time. This year I plan to study hard and not procrastinate. I want to make good grades and work hard. I know I can make good grades I just have to keep everything organized. I will use the writing lab and tutoring services on campus to work on the classes I need help with. I know I can also go to my instructors if I need help with any assignments that they give me. I know they will help me if I do not understand something in the class or need help.
I value a lot in education. When I finish college I want to become a veterinarian. In order to do that I have to finish Pfeiffer and transfer to North Carolina State University to major in veterinary medicine. I have always wanted to help animals and I have had my dream to be a veterinarian since I was little. I feel I can help many animals.
During elementary school and middle school I was very shy. I was bullied a lot by classmates so I didn’t talk to a lot of people or make many friends. When I started high school, the workload got heavier so I had to ask for help from other students. I became more outgoing. I am still shy but not as much as I used to be in the beginning. I have slowly begun to come out of my
