Personal Statement
I have no doubt that languages are the key that will unlock the door to open-mindedness and unlimited knowledge. The power of being able to communicate with millions of people from different backgrounds and, of course, with different opinions fascinates me because, for me, languages are about people and how we communicate with each other. Through communication, I believe we have access to an extensive source of different opinions and beliefs regarding shared matters. Therefore, why should we limit our knowledge and ourselves by speaking only one language? As I strongly believe that by learning a language we could exceed ourselves personally and professionally, I would like to expand my knowledge of French and combine it

I always regarded France as an elegant country of fine wine, delicious cheese, great museums and art galleries but this book has revealed to me that there’s more beyond that by uncovering a more authentic portrait of a Parisian suburb. This piqued my interest in political and social issues in France and motivated to read Ourika, a novel –which I am currently enjoying- by Claire de Duras based on real events in the 19th century.
Being trilingual in English, Spanish and French has allowed me to have a better understanding of the world and its current affairs by using my expertise in these three languages to read newspapers. I particularly enjoy the economy section because
