Little Lady Panther Camp
For my senior project I chose to run and hold a children’s volleyball camp. My passion has been volleyball since a very young age and I wanted to share that passion I have with others.I started playing volleyball and doing little children’s camps when I was about five years old and I wanted other people to have the same opportunities I had. Volleyball influenced my life in such a positive way, and I believe and have seen that sports can have such a strong influence on youth when associated with good positive experiences. The option is the student’s whether to enjoy it or living every day wishing it could all be over. The problem is after high school everything becomes harder and there isn’t much that is easier so high school should be enjoyed and not just endured. Being involved in athletics allows for opportunities to meet so many new people and build relationships with those people. Athletes definitely understand the hype of a crowd and being supported so many athletes like to support others because they know the adrenaline and excitement it brings to the team and individuals personally. Being involved in one thing leads to being involved in many other opportunities because an individual can see what they are capable of and what they excel in personally and working on a team. There are so many skills and lessons a person can learn by being on a team some from trial and error and some just because but either way an individual can learn so many things that can potentially help others. Unfortunately this volleyball season I broke my foot the first week of volleyball. This resulted in me sitting out at practice, games, and tournaments. Volleyball being my love this was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. This opened doors for service opportunities to me, however. Every volleyball game and practice I was able to take and record statistics and then analyze the data I gathered. Many hours and hard work was put forth for my teammates for the success of us as a whole. This allowed me to recognize many things and grow as a volleyball player as well as help my teammates grow as volleyball
