Personal Statement: Registered Nurse Anesthesia

I am proud to say that I have achieved all of my goals so far this year. I want to continue doing so to help create the best outcome of my future. I want to graduate from Troy University and major in Nursing. I plan to carry on my education into graduate school to provide better job opportunities. Also, I plan to work hard and become a top level pediatric nurse or if I earn enough financial aid, I would love to work harder and become a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthesia (CRNA) which requires more than 4 years of tuition. I also realize that I have to keep pushing forward to continue accomplishing my goals. I live in a home with only My mom and my little sister, and I must say it hasn't been easy, but my mom always found a way to make it for us, even when we lost our home. In my heart, I know my mom would give my sister and I the world if she could, which is why I am working so hard to make her proud. I want to prove to my mom that we don't have to own the world to be the respectful, young women she has raised us to be. Although my mom wasn't able to continue her college education, I want to prove to her that I can work hard for what I want, just like she always told me. Also, I want to set a good example for my sister so she can follow in my footsteps as well. As a student, I have already accomplished several goals, but as an honors student, I want to keep pushing myself for greater opportunities. I believe that if I continue putting my best foot forward, the results of my hard work and determination will be beyond "just good enough." I know plenty of smart students who take the easiest possible classes to ensure that they maintain a high grade point average. If I had chosen that route for myself, I know I would have been limiting my potential and college readiness.
