Personal Statement: The Current Economic Situation

It is sometimes overwhelming to think that I will be entering the workforce in only a few short years. Yet, I do not feel that I will have a problem obtaining a job within the first six months of graduation. With the current economic situation, I believe that I have a very good possibility of obtaining a job. Currently, unemployment is low, there are a lot of jobs open, houses are affordable, and gas prices are fairly low. Taking these things into account, it would not be too difficult for me to move for a job, find somewhere to live and pay for the gas to get to and from work. The current economic situation would allow me to not only find a job, it will also allow me to be able to get there regardless of the mileage that I might have to go. Just like the current economic situation does not restrict me on where I can go for a job, it also is not restricting or having an influence on my classes, major, or my graduation date. If that happens, then I will stay with my parents until I can find a job to support myself. The main reason that I would stay with them is so that I am not living on the streets trying to find a job. This way I can have a roof over my head, and when the opportunity presents itself, I can look professional enough to hopefully get that job. Another reason for this is that I can have my parents help me look for a job to support myself. It may not be in the area of the job market that I want, but they may know people who are hiring. If I am unable to find a job on my own, I will not be too particular on the jobs that my parents find for me.
