Many people looking for a career in music start with a Bachelors of Musical Arts, which teaches basic theory, history, aural skills and a major instrumentation. One person who struck me is my aunt as I came to realise what great accomplishments she had made in her life. She is an inspiration to my decision to go to university because of her love for learning no matter her age starting with a B.A. in sociology. Again, I found very lucrative positions which I am even more-so interested in. Some of these jobs that I wrote down include: an instrument builder and designer, a music business owner, and an ethnomusicology professor. These three jobs are exceedingly different from one another but would require me to continue into a M.A, DMA or even a potential Ph.D. program.
