Throughout high school, I have always asked myself, what do I want to do after high school is done?If I go to college what classes will I take? My parents have always told me to go to college after high school because getting a higher education would help me achieve my goals of traveling and experiencing different cultures in the future. I listened to them and decided to go after after I finished high school. Although, It took me a while to reach my decision because there was one thing holding me back. I did not know what I wanted to major in and because of that I was afraid to go. I have made many mistakes in basketball and in volleyball but that's what made me a better player. I learned what I did wrong and how I could fix it so I can improve. In basketball, there were times where I had a decision to pass the ball and turn it over or take the bad shot. I use to always pass the ball and get it stolen and that was my mistake but then my coach told me that it was better to take the bad shot because there was a chance that the ball would go in and I would score. Learning my mistake helped me become a better and smarter player and score more points with less turnovers. Many people go to college and rack up debt because they keep changing their majors and keep dropping classes they no longer want. I did not want to end up being in debt for the rest of my life and cause my family to suffer. The article showed how not being able to afford college was not a good excuse not to go because there are many financial aid and scholarships available to help me pay for college. I just have to apply for them and give good reasons why I need them and I'll have as good a chance as anybody to get help. FAFSA is also another way to get help with money and I recently applied for it with the help of my counselor. I haven't heard anything from it but I hope to receive help to pay for
