I want to go to college because I want to continue this journey of growth. I want to become the best I can be. I want all the teachers, coaches, and the community that has affected my life to be as proud as I am to lead the largest successful organizations for student’s
I have several lifetime goals that mean a lot to me. I really hope to accomplish them one day. Since, of course, being currently a senior in Brownsville Early College High School, and also attending the University of Texas at Rio Grande Valley. For some students look at college as a dream to attend, but I see it as an accomplishment. All the things my parents and family members will see to me as I was growing up was to prepare and work hard for my education or the degree I want, and I have.
According to the reading "Why Go to College" in my ENF book, students have many reasons for attending college. One reason for learning is to adapt to new situations. College is far more different from high school; consequently, adapting to the college atmosphere often takes more time. Another reason is to learn about different cultures and people through this experience. A third reason is to be able to better deal with advances in knowledge and technology that are changing the world as the world is filled with technology because new things are invented every day.
In the first place, there are many reasons why I would love to attend Spelman College Summer Program, to name a few it would be an honor and a privilege for me and for my family to witness. According to Wikipedia, it states, "Spelman College holds lots of history, and distinction of being American’s first, oldest, private, and liberal arts historically black College for women.” In addition, my father is a carpenter and he always told me that the foundation of a building is the most important part to keep the building strong. In the same fashion, if I were to be approved for the Spelman summer program this will add to my foundation even if it’s only for two weeks.
I knew college would lead me to be more knowledgeable about this world and show me opportunities that I never seen before. What motivate me to go to college was my family. My parents’ has never gone to college, so I’m the first in my family to go to college. I want to be someone unique in my family. I want to be financially able to take care myself and my future children.
Also, I want younger children to see me as a great role model so they can attend college as well. Once I graduate, I will be the first to graduate in my family. Majority of my family that attended college end up dropping out in the middle of a semester. In concluding, for anybody that wants to pursue their dreams in life, I want them to see me as a great role model.
Why do I want to attend college? College is an honorary achievement and it separates the determined from the undetermined. Owning a college to degree is an honor and an ecstatic feeling. Through college, that job is that much closer in the grasp. Through college, a person can perform at an elite level and really push themselves for greatness.
Setting smaller goals is nice because they are like stepping stones to my bigger goals. The reason I am so motivated to go to college is because I have the opportunity to be the first in my family to attend college. Seeing my parents struggle with money because they can’t get a decent paying job is one of the reasons I desire to go to college. I know by going to college, and doing what I love, I will be able to enjoy what I’m doing while being able to have a improved life than I had experienced.
My intention is to be successful, and the first step of doing that is doing well in school, so that I can earn my place in a university. I am a mentally tough person, so when I set my mind to a task, I will complete
One of the most difficult tasks to complete is the chore of studying. It takes a lot of motivation and time to read all the material for every class, not to mention learning all that information, sometimes on things you don’t necessarily want to be studying. When was a child, I used to think that I already knew it all. No book or teacher was going to help me learn what I didn’t already know. Unfortunately, I was sadly mistaken.
Attending college wasn’t an obligation of mine but a choice that I took. My reasons are probably just like everyone else’s at my age. I wanted a better life for myself in the future that didn’t involve living paycheck by paycheck. Obtaining a college degree has such a strong influence on one’s life. College has been a dream of mine since I was little.
College, that is the goal for most high school students. It is their motivation, their determination and the ultimate prize. It is what determines the level of success a person will reach in their life. For me, college is so much more.
As I start my college career, my primary goal is to be successful. Throughout my life, I have studied hard to prepare for college. Being discipline having good study habits and communicating with my teachers has laid the foundation for me to reach my goals. My goal is to continue to work hard and become familiar with my major, the course requirements and objectives needed to excel and graduate. I will utilize the necessary tools and resources available to me as a student starting with educational material, class lectures, and study labs.

It was important for me to continue my education, especially in this field as it has always been a dream of mine. In my family neither of my parents attended college, through the years I have watched them do jobs they hated so me and my siblings could be successful. As I got older my brother attended college, be prospered and graduated in four years. He now has a steady job and
