High School Football Never in my life, will I experience anything better then playing high school football in your hometown on a friday night. The feeling you get looking up in the stands and seeing the people of your community cheering you on, has been and always will be the greatest feeling I’ve ever had. What really makes me happy, is how it brings people together. When it's the 4th quarter and we’re down by 3 but our offense can't be stopped on a drive to win the game, we are all one, cheering for the same thing. It shows that everyone can get along, no matter who you are or what you believe in. Faith, “complete trust or confidence in someone or something” (Merriam-Webster.) Without faith, there is doubt, and with doubt, there is no confidence. Throughout the years, our high school football team has endured many challenges. We’ve had some good years and some bad years. But what never ceases to amaze me, is no matter how bad or how good we are, our town is still there every friday night cheering us on. …show more content…
But there's this one game that changes everything, where the intensity is through the roof, and the whole town is cheering for a win. It’s homecoming. The week where high schoolers stay out throwing toilet paper around, playing pranks on other friends, and having fun games during the school day. But it's all about the friday night game that influences a team for the rest of the year. It’s the day that the town really comes together as one and gives it their all to show that the work we do during the offseason isn’t wasted
