Has anyone ever heard of a girl being raped, or of someone that has been put through abuse for many years. Most people probably have, and this is bad because that means that the girl or the person has been put through a process called Human Trafficking or Slavery. Human Trafficking is the second biggest complications in the United States, because it goes under estimated by most americans. There are multiple groups that are set up to help the victims that have been through the horrible years of rape, abuse, and help this people get back on their feet and back into the real world. Human Trafficking goes unknown by most of the United States, but why? Many americans would like to think that this was part of the past and that it happened in far away places. That’s why it is important that communities teach their children to importance of human trafficking and slavery. “Despite the Constitution’s Thirteenth Amendment eliminating slavery and involuntary servitude, people are still held against their will and forced into service or labor. The modern form of human trafficking often involves the sex trade and disproportionately impacts vulnerable populations, such as minors and undocumented immigrants”( FindLaw). Minors get forced into having sex with men from all ages for money and get abused by the pimps or traffickers. Most of the girls that are trafficked ended up having babies at young ages, and they don’t even get to keep or raise the kids because the traffickers take them away as a reason to keep the girls there longer, and to do as they please. Traffickers look like ordinary people and you can’t tell them apart from the average neighbor. Most are pimps and love to do these things to these girls because of the money that they make from using them for sex. They like to sweet talk theses girls into to believing that they will be taken care of, but are forced to sex and are controled for
