300, 600, 900, 1,300 calories and counting. It sounds like a lot, right? In fact, us as humans are only supposed to have 2,000 healthy calories a day. It seems that some people have tested the limits, and haven’t done just that, but they’ve put their own health in danger. Obesity has become a rising epidemic in America , considering the number of obese children has gone up drastically since the 1970’s. Unhealthy, fattening food is the main cause of this issue. Too much of a certain unhealthy item can take a serious toll on your health. Of course, junk food at times can be there for us when our emotions are out of check. However, eating out our feelings leads to binging, which makes us pack on weight. Doing this for long periods of time could lead us to a dangerous future of health problems, and maybe even bullying.

These convenient machines don’t make it any easier by putting the treats out there. Not learning right from wrong can set children up for heart attacks, commas and other serious health problems. As well as being a kid, if they are overweight, or obese, they can’t enjoy life to the fullest, because they are trapped in this body that doesn’t allow them to do the things that everybody else does. Hopefully with the ban of junk food in vending machines, childhood obesity rates will go down, and more kids will be happy and healthy.
