It is basically survival of the fittest. Giving animal’s rights should be necessary only if they are being abused. For example, forcing dogs to fight other dogs till one is dead. If the animals are killed for our basic human needs than it should not be wrong. I agree with Bob Stevens in his letter to Rifkins when he mentions the fact that pigs would get toys even though there are human beings in the world who do not have such things.
A life is a life, i think that every living organisms on this planet that are breathing are important and we all should treat others with respect and with love. Animals are like us, not physically, but they can feel pain and lonely when we mistreated them in some ways. I believe humanity has the ethical obligation to change their behavior towards animals. In the article, “ A change of Hearts on Animals” written by Jeremy Rifkin stated some of his key points that humans should focuses more on animals’ feelings.
Animals are great and make our lives better but when they are suffering and all we can do is extend their pain for a few months and pay thousands of dollars it just isn’t worth it. Americans nowadays spend money on tons of things that aren’t worth it, but spending thousands of dollars on dying animals is ridiculous. Furthermore, people even treat their animals as family like for example “Eighty-Three Percent refer to themselves to as their parents pet’s mom or dad” (The Last Meow). As a former pet owner I can say that it is ridiculous how people consider animals as their family and use that to justify spending thousands of dollars to keep them for a few months longer.

Some of the animals that you see in zoos are not always born in captivity. They can be taken right out of the wild as well. Although zoos are fun to visit, animals should not be held in captivity because the breed can become overpopulated, they do not know how to survive on their own, and they are being abused.

Even worse, the government has not done anything to change this abuse, there is no law that states animals can not be harmed, it's like the problem is not even a problem to the government and this questions the management of the government itself for letting such a big controversy issue to just “drop.” Animals are tortured and even killed for us humans to eat and used for clothing (fur for example) just for humans pleasure. Animal cruelty has been a big problem all over the world. Studies around the world have found that people who have been abusive or committed violent behavior towards their own kind, have a higher percentage to abuse animals. We need to be more aware when someone has committed a violent crime towards someone and owns an animal, because that animal could be in danger. The US is starting to compile a registry for animal abusers, and raising the penalties and consequences so that animal abuse can decrease. “Each of the real or proposed registry in the US makes it much more difficult for abusers to own animals.

Food production counts for only one of the many injustices animals face daily. Although they have been proven emotionally intelligent, mankind views these entities as subservient and continue to harm them. People around the world have created organizations that work to ameliorate the treatment of animals. As the animal rights movement nobly fights to improve the conditions of these living creatures, daily human activities and the moral values of some prolong the acceptance of animal equality.
Rights are against the use of force and they are our primary if not only our means of survival. There is only one fundamental right: To live successfully, a man has to make his own choices as well as animals too (Roleff,2014,p.33). There is a huge difference between giving animals their rights which is less than human beings and not to give them rights at all. Nowadays animals are presented in many places of entertainment such as zoos and cruces as well as aquariums where the audients pay a lot of cash to watch fun and exciting things going on, it sure makes us happy but what about the animals are they happy too? Are places of entertainment appropriate for wild animals to live in it normally?
First, even a marginally better death is still death. The life we give these animals by breeding them does not give us the right to nonchalantly take it away for our own pleasure. As Ashley Byrne, a PETA campaign specialist, says, “Slaughter can be less cruel, but not humane.” Additionally, in an interview with the General Managers of one of the most progressive slaughterhouses, it is revealed that the owners ‘sometimes get attached to the cattle and occasionally spare one they become close to, keeping it as a pet’
I believe that people should be involved and notice that animal cruelty isn 't a good thing and should make or create a law against animal cruelty. Its equivalent to beating a person up, everyone needs to be cared and loved for; not just us people but animals as well, people need to stop slaughtering, skinning, hunting, and hurting these helpless animals. It feels great knowing that there is a law against animal abuse and also counts. Yes counts on animal abuse, the FBI is also interested and somewhat involved with these types of dangerous “animal abuse crimes. ”2
Imagine coming home after a tough day and being greeted at the door by your furry four-legged friend wrapping itself around your legs with a smile from ear to ear. There is no doubt that pets bring about bundles of joy, but dogs also provide stress relief, motivation to get active, lessons on responsibility, as well as another reason to smile on a daily basis. We all want the best for our kids; it is obvious that owning a dog has never-ending positive impacts on a child’s life. Owning a dog reduces stress, teaches responsibility, encourages exercise, and provides unconditional love to our beloved children.
Animal Lives Matter Animals are dying from millions of subjected tests every day. All these helpless animals can do is be used and wait till they are no use to us anymore. It is pretty sad one day it’s going to get to the point where the people test on ourselves. Just because scientists or college students need to find a cure for a disease or just simply anything does not mean we need to sacrifice the poor animals in this horrible way. Now there are only three main things to talk about which is people need to know how many animals have been tested on, the drugs that have been used on them and what to do to stop animal testing.
Animal Rights Some people assume that just because animals cannot speak that they cannot feel pain. It is not okay to torture living beings that have their own thoughts and breathe the exact same air us humans breathe. It is unjust and selfish to stand by and take no action while everyday hundreds if not thousands of innocent animals die without reason. No matter how much fur or how many limbs the creature has; it should be treated as equal as a person. A heart beat is a heartbeat regardless of the body it’s in.
