A problem that I would like to solve in the near future is animal cruelty due to its presence in ongoing society. Through movies, newspapers, and t.v shows and even myself have witnessed the abuse all sorts of animals go through because they are treated as less than humans. We tend to see animals as living beings who do not have as much value as we do. I, on the other hand, oppose to this constant belief and demand for change to be implemented on the systems. I demand for everyone to thoroughly reflect on what they should do to change this perception of animals who, essentially, are just like us human beings. Sure, yes, animal cruelty is unintentional but also intentional, meaning that some people do not mean to inflict pain on animals, but others do, and this is a problem. Why cause animals pain when possibly they did nothing to harm you? Just because it calms a person down or simply for pleasure? This situation can not keep on repeating itself because if it continues, what will happen to the animal population? It will diminish just like trees being chopped off in the forests. Even worse, the government has not done anything to change this abuse, there is no law that states animals can not be harmed, it's like the problem is not even a problem to the government and this questions the management of the government itself for letting such a big controversy issue to just “drop.” Animals are tortured and even killed for us humans to eat and used for clothing (fur for example) just for humans pleasure. I define this as being a new type of manslaughter because of the lengths people go for just to appease their own
