Birth Tourism is the act of expecting mothers traveling to a desired country to give labor in that country, and have the birthrights of that country bestowed onto their child. Furthermore, the given definition of the 14th amendment is being contemplated by Republicans and its actual intensions.
Birth Tourism is and has been very popular in California. California is a highly-populated state and is very famous as a tourism state as well. It’s a place where all celebrities live and there is such great variety of ethnicities

Birth tourism from China into the United States has been very popular. According to Matt Sheehan in his article on birth tourism, “incomes in china rise and visa hurdles fall, women from China are making up a larger share of foreign births in the U.S.” This can be a con on the U.S. because it implies a negative view on immigrants, rather than the positive view they need to be able to seek opportunities. As Sheehan described, many people buy a package for birth tourism that includes a place to live and instructions on how to hide their true intensions from authorities. Because of the variety in California, Chinese mothers can feel comfortable having some relevance to their home country. According to the Chicago tribune, a pro about the vast numbers of immigrant mothers coming into America is that they are less likely to use government financial help such as welfare. They describe how immigrants, “add more to the economy than they take,” and this is done by creating jobs for Americans therefore they are good for the economy. An economic con of birth tourism, according to Sheehan, is that some of the birth tourism agencies defraud hospitals and did not pay taxes on millions of dollars of
