My attention was caught in education spending which will expand over $4.4 billion in casino revenues for Education trust funds, to have an education is very important for many people. Education is key to our future too. The audience would be the parents and students of the school and the principle. However, I ponder if this Act will be temporary or permanent. How do I know your Commitment to Education Act and Education Trust Fund is a good idea? You have certainly opened my eyes that a legislation was passed in 2007 and nothing occurred. Despite that, I am hoping that you will stand by your Commitment to Education Act and Education Trust Fund. I was introduced to an article called “Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan announces new school safety measures” from fox5dc. In the article they state “The governor also announced plans to submit emergency legislation to create statewide standards for school safety and broaden the authority of the Maryland Center for School Safety” we cannot waste time with this Act, especially when this will be ensuring safety. When I was developing my research, I read an another article by Michael Dresser called “Gov. Hogan supports 'lockbox' to keep Maryland casino money in education, vows $4.4 billion in extra funding.” In this article Dresser indicates “Hogan said the proposal would take the roughly $450 million a year the state receives in casino revenue each year and use none of it to fund the basic K-12 education formula that governs the distribution of education funds” I was astonished to learn that not all casino revenue is going to K-12 education. I worry that the Act will be passed and not all revenue is going to the K-12 education. My advice is for stricter enforcement so casino revenue can ensure more rights for a better education
