Every year more than 3 million kids get abused at home and 5 of those kids die each day. That’s why the government is debating a proposed law that would require parents to pass a test and also pass a background check to see if they haven’t committed a crime or if you don’t have any issues that could interfere with the child’s growth, they would also have to know how much money you earn to see if you have enough to raise a baby. How well do we really know what the difference between child abuse and child neglect is? Well for starters child abuse is harming a minor by hitting, burning, cutting and also having sexual intercourse. Child neglect is another form of abuse but it doesn’t necessarily include touching the minor you can neglect the child by not buying them clothes, shoes and not taking them to a regular doctor’s appointment or denying them food. I think this proposed law is a good idea because the baby will be safe at home and would have a better lifestyle, plus there would be more chances for parents who can’t have their own kids last but not least the child would have more opportunities in life …show more content…
If the child were to be placed into another home she/he would be in harm's away from the offender because they would be put in jail leaving the child with people who cares about her/him. The people who harmed the child wouldn’t be able to touch him/her again or anyone in that matter for the reason that they wouldn’t be able to have another child or if they do the child would be put up for adoption.The child would have a better lifestyle because there will be no form of abuse.
