One community that has made extraordinarily progress is the scientific community. Today, scientists are altering genes, growing organs and performing surgery on babies before they are even born. 100 years ago, no one would have even dreamed that this technology would be available.
The approximate amount of animals put in shelters each year is 7.6 billion. That is 7.6 billion lives that haven't had a home, or someone to love and care for them. You should consider giving one of these animals a true life rather than reviving one who already fulfilled
Why Animal Testing is Wrong The human race has greatly benefitted through the use of animals. They have not only been a great form of companionship for people, but have also helped with the success in the world of medicine. For many years, the rights of animals and animal experimentation have been up for debate on whether or not it should be legal. Some may find that animal testing has led to major advancements in the medical world and that it is a small price to pay to save millions of lives, but others believe it is inhumane and that animals should be given the same rights as humans.
Animal testing had been occurring for centuries. It can be dated back to the ancient times of the Greeks and Romans. Physicians would dissect animals with the interest to obtain knowledge. One physician said that he would rather use a pig because he wanted to avoid seeing an unpleasant expression of an ape. Humans do not want to think of animals as on the same level of us.
United States is a country where products are constantly consumed: medicines, products of various kinds, and new products are always in high demand. But before most products are ever given to humans they are first given to animals to insure the safety of one’s health. In the United States alone it is estimated 26 million animals are used for scientific and commercial testing, due to this many animals are tortured, left in unsanitary conditions, and killed involuntarily for a purpose they do not understand. In many places around the world the practice of testing on animals have been banned, and it is a procedure that needs to stop in the United States. Animal testing is cruel and inhumane, drugs passed are not necessarily safe, and it is unethical.
Should or should we not prohibit genetically engineered babies is the question to ask. After years and year of trying to figure out the cure for a disease like a mitochondrial disease, a group of professional on the topic believes that it would greatly benefit the baby ’s outcome exceptionally if their parents has harmful genetics. Most people concern would be how the baby would turn out because there have not been any clinical trials that prove that the genetics that is engineered properly work like they should. I personally believe that the genetics of baby should not be engineered, but I do believe that it should be up to the parent of the children since it is their child in the first place.

Animal Testing Should Be Banned Animal testing also known animal experimentation is a process whereby non-human animals are used to conduct experiments. There has been an increase of animal testing in the field of biomedical research. Due to this, animal testing has become an extreme controversial topic that has created a division among different groups, of those who are supporting the process and those who are opposing. Therefore, there are ongoing debates on whether animal testing should go on or it should be banned. Some groups argue it is ethical, while others insist that the process is unethical, and there is a last group advocating for alternatives in the testing other than the use of animals.
