“Education is the most powerful weapon we can use to change the world.” (Nelson Mandela). This could be the reality if more people were focusing on their future. Nowadays people are not seeing the benefits of college and are choosing to not focus on further education. College is a benefit for most people and should have more requirements for attending.
College is very beneficial to an individual's yearly and lifetime income. A male who is 25 or older with a bachelor’s degree has an income of about $61,000, compared to about $32,000 for a male with a high-school diploma(A College Education Is a Necessity in Today’s world). Incomes of those with only a high school education are dramatically lower than those with a bachelor's degree. Unlike most purchases, a college education appreciates in value instead of depreciating. There are ways to get around the price of a college education, such as scholarships, financial aid, community colleges, and allowing yourself to do online classes which enables you to be able to work at the same time. There’s research that proves children with further educated parents are more likely to go to college. (A College Education Is a Necessity in Today's World). The benefits of further education could influence the children to follow in example. After graduating, college is the next big decision someone will have to make on their own for themselves and that's one step closer to becoming more mature. By following through that allows an employer to recognize those good qualities and prove that the student is able to start a task and complete it
