Heat, air conditioning, lamps, microwaves, phones, TVs: all of these things listed are powered by the very powerful thing we know as electricity. You can walk down the street and ask anybody if they know what electricity is, and of course no matter their living status they will know what electricity is. That is the privilege of living in the United States. According to the World Data Bank, 100% of the population in the United States has access to electricity. This doesn’t matter if you are homeless, poor, a child or adult. We all have access to electricity. Because we have the access to such a powerful tool, we do not realize that we do abuse the right to have electricity.
