One of the most discussed topics of the 21st century has been marijuana, and the different types of legalization. Those like medical, recreational, and even for the creation of Biodiesel and clothing. Marijuana is a controversial drug, while some believe it should be legal, a majority think it is more dangerous than harmful drugs including cocaine or heroin. Through extensive unbiased research marijuana has been proven to be safer than most over the counter pharmaceutical painkillers like Tylenol, Advil, or Ibuprofen. With more research showing how safe marijuana truly is, we as a species can take a step closer to bettering humanity.
In 1998 Colorado became the first state to legalize medical marijuana, but before that the U.S. government has spent billions trying its hardest to “sweep” marijuana “under the rug” so to speak. We are more concerned on what makes the most money rather than how can we help every last person. Right now as of 3/1/2017 Cannabis/marijuana/pot whatever one might call it, it is illegal. That is why everyone should do their own research instead of relying on others to do it for them, because if everyone knew the good marijuana can bring we as a species could end an epidemic that has ravaged countries for years, that epidemic is the addiction to opioids, painkillers. We could better not only ourselves, but the whole of mankind by clothing, medicating, and fueling anyone who needs it. Most people like to think they are intelligent that they know a lot that they know what is best for the world.
