Lately it seems that the drug policy and the war on drugs have been in the headlines quite a bit. It is becoming evident that the policies of the United States government makes against illegal drugs are unreasonable. Nonetheless, the United States is becoming more apparent to the uses and causes of the miracle plant, “marijuana”. Seeing that marijuana came into America over thirty years ago, the governments forbidding of it has been exposed to relentless debates. Should marijuana be legalized? I stand by the use of marijuana and argue that there are countless medical benefits and that this drug is not more harmful than the legal tobacco or alcohol.
