Increasing Minimum Wage
President Franklin D. Roosevelt's policy the “New Deal” was a changing point for minimum wage. Minimum wage guaranteed that all workers in the United States earned enough money to provide for their families. Workers across the United States have been suffering from these low working wages. For many years, people have suffered in poverty and currently are now. As poverty rates continues to grow, many people find it hard to survive. The laws that were created for minimum wage were created to improve the standards of living and decrease poverty in this society. Increasing the minimum wage can result in opportunity for poverty rates to decrease and people having a chance to survive in this world without struggling to make ends meet.
