Preschool promotes better learning techniques for children, that are entering elementary school. Preschool programs were developed to prepare young children before entering a more complex level of learning. When preschools were first introduced to society, they were meant to prepare the struggling section of the country (U.S. Congress). Now preschool helps all children and it doesn 't matter if they are wealthy or low income. In California the preschool programs are separated by section, there are at least 10 different groups of child care or preschools (Child Care and Development Programs). These programs provide many opportunities to all kinds of families with younger kids. For families that have both working parents or that make more than a certain amount of money, might have to send their kid to a full time preschool or childcare with a preschool included. Many politicians may say that preschool should not be a free program for children because that money could go towards more important things. In Montana a group of Republicans decided to cancel a 40 million grant for preschools that was going to make more programs available for the families in this state (Republican legislators urge rejection of $40M federal preschool grant). Not only Montana suffers from problems like this one, many states also have to go through this and this is because many states have other things to worry about than the education and future or their children.
