As our contemporary American society continues to transform after every innovation, we as a nation face devastation after devastation, and presently there has been an outrageous increase in school shootings. The recent shootings have plagued our great nation of hard working men and women. I believe that all parties agree that the predominance of mass homicides and shootings not only near our homes and communities, but also in our schools is terrifying and utterly unacceptable. In any case, I think there should not be a debate, for obviously, after one hundred and eighty eighty school shootings since the beginning of the twenty first century, the nation as a whole should feel the weight of every death in a stage of absolute outrage. In the interest of protecting our schools, our children, and the lives of every man and woman in America, I have created that very solution to our nation’s problems: a two plan to rid the nation of this new, overbearing grief. …show more content…
By my very on principal, I think it is appalling that we have done nothing before this point. Those in delusion must see that the only measures we can take to evolve from this crisis is through the addition of bigger, more advanced weapons. Currently, there are enough legal weapons to arm every man, woman, and child, yet only a select amount of people in this country own guns. If we as a nation wish to feel safe in our homes and schools, we must ensure that every human can carry at the minimum a weapon in each hand. Recently there has been discussion of breaking schools’ no tolerance policies for guns on campus and arm teachers to better protect our children, but why stop there? Why not just arm the students too? Although this may prove too trivial for most hard working Americans, it is one small step toward achieving a safer
