“Success isn't about how much money you make. It’s about the difference you make in people's lives” (Michelle Obama). America should open their doors to syrian refugees for three reasons: Syrian Civil War, values and morality. 6.6 million Syrians are internally displaced in Syria which is a huge epidemic. The chance of survival from escaping from Syria is the same as if they decided to stay in the midst of the war. America should ease the burden to provide comfort to these war refugees.
The current civil war in Syria is creating a huge immigration burden to neighboring countries. 7.6 million Syrians are in Syria now with no homes, 4.1 million Syrians have moved to neighboring countries and 348,540 have applied for asylum in Europe. Some Americans have a fear that allowing Muslims to immigrate to the United States will increase the risk of terrorist attacks within America. ¨The values that we are fighting against ISIS for are precisely that we don't discriminate against people based on their faith.¨(Obama) America should practice what they preach. we should continue to welcome immigrants into America.” The enemy is not Islam. The enemy is not the billions of muslims across the world who stand with us in commendation and prayer¨(Win Gatchalian) The Paris attacks occurred on November 13, 2015, that is a day the world will never forget. The attacks consisted of mass shootings, suicide bombings and hostage taking. There were 130 victims and 7 perpetrators. People are blaming Muslims because they think ISIS defines Islam but that is completely wrong ISIS does not signify Islam. America needs to be more proactive to bring in more Syrians.
