Consequently, the number of refugees is continuously increasing, however the refugees are receiving minimal support compared to how much support they need. According to the UN “refugees are people fleeing conflict or persecution. They are defined and protected in international law, and must not be expelled or returned to situations where their life and freedom are at risk”. Someone who uses terrorism as an excuse to why do not accept refugees is totally inhumane. Studies say that only 0.00038% of refugees are linked to terrorism. Being imprisoned in a camp for six years is going to make them mentally ill and unsympathetic about the world. One of the rights set by the UN is that “everyone has the right to seek and to enjoy in other countries asylum from persecution”. It is the refugees’ right to seek asylum in other countries therefore, all the countries that ban refugees are violating human rights! Another human right set by the United Nations is that “everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and of his family, including food, clothing, housing and medical care …..”. 82% of the refugees are dependent on food aid and 73% do not have enough food for the whole family. The refugees’ rights have been seriously violated, and what is the rest of the world doing? Blaming them for terrorist attacks? Or just watching them suffer without taking serious action? Being heartless enough to look at these children and not take any action is also contributing to making war worse. Shouldn’t we blame ourselves not only for making war harder for them by deserting them, but also for bombing them instead of help to keep them
