More kids are getting interested in music everyday hoping to be the next pop sensation. over here in Wheeling, Illinois tons of kids that went to be that one in a million child that becomes the next big thing. Over at Wheeling High School kids that are interested in music and want to pursue a career in music don't get the most education that they can possibly get. Pretty soon all of that will change.

At Wheeling High School the art programs just aren't enough for all the students that are interested in music. There isn't enough space! The music director at Wheeling High also wished for the school bigger so that their be more space for the art’s. Also that their show choir is actually as good at buffalo grove High school's show choir, they just need that extra space and practice. Luckily the school board noticed. Coming 2017 the new addition to the school will be done!

On September 21st it was an exciting day for some students over at Jack London Middle School. The music director from Wheeling High School was coming to London. He would talk to students that would …show more content…

Schools that have music programs have an attendance rate of 93.3% compared to 84.9% in schools without music programs (Child Trend). This shows us that students around music have a higher rate of coming to school because they want to be around music. Also a group of 10th graders involved in the arts between 1991-2004 went from 36 to 42% (Child Trend). This shows us that more and more kids get involved in the arts, and can you only imagine how much the percentage has grown by now. Lastly, Wheeling High School was built in 1964. This information is very important because this is telling us that the 53 years that wheeling high has been up they haven't made any changes to the school (Wikipedia). Wheeling now sees that the arts are so important that they are making an upgradation dedicated to the
