180,000 people die every year from accidental injuries. Youtube is causing many deaths or life threatening injuries. Kids are trying to become famous by doing a cool trick or stunt, but are getting injured. This is affecting our world because families are losing kids or kids are going to the hospital. Also, these tricks kids are doing are very risky and they shouldn’t even be doing them. We need to take a stand to stop these different stunts and trick so no more kids die. To begin with in 2009, a 15 year old kid had a plan to become famous by putting a basketball in gasoline and lighting it on fire. He Made it catch on fire and he shot a three-point basketball shot, but his clothes burst into flames. He was burnt and was rushed to the hospital. He had got second and third degree burn on 14 percent of his body. This changed his life and his families; could have easily died. Kids haven't developed their bodies and also haven't figured out what they can and cannot do.Teens are taking risky stunts and risks from watching stunt videos on youtube. The videos encourage teens to do dangerous stunts to copy it and most of them get injured because of the stunt video. Most teens want to be famous and get rich, the judgement call area of their brain isn't fully developed in the teens stage of their life. “A lot of kid take [teens’] risk-taking stunts impulsively.”- Justin O’Neill. Teens have not fully developed their brains yet and laugh at violence things. This makes these teens want to make kids laugh so they do it themselves. Youtube says that they don’t intend to encourage dangerous, illegal, or violence that would risk people's lives.Kids say they do these tricks for the thrill of doing the trick.
