E-cigarettes were originally created as an alternative to smoking. America has dealt with tobacco addiction for decades before the tobacco industry’s eventual decline. However, there is a new issue that has become increasingly common recently. Teen vaping is a serious issue that should be addressed immediately. Since its creation in 2007, e-cigarettes have only grown in popularity, especially with teenagers.
Smoking affects so many people in our society. “Smoking has such a devastating effect on the body because cigarette smoke is, in a word, toxic. There are more than four thousand chemicals in the average puff of cigarette smoke” (“Smoking Is”). Smoking causes
Legalization Drive For the first time a majority, 53%, favor its legalization, with 77% supporting it for medical purposes. This has created promising research into the usage of marijuana. This could impact thousands of lives of adults and children who are battling various critical diseases, including treatment for cancer, epilepsy and Alzheimer's, to name a few. Advocates of Legalization argue that marijuana could greatly reduce the demand for narcotics and simultaneously decrease the number of accidental painkiller overdoses, which are the greatest cause of preventable death in this country.
Marijuana has been acknowledged for centuries for its therapeutic values, and its powerful pain relief to many patients with cancer or other serious illnesses. Until recently marijuana is now known as the number one cash crop in America. ABC reports that underground marijuana generates over $35.8 billion in revenues annually. That’s more than corn ($23.3 billion) and wheat ($7.5 billion) combined! Think of how many millions those numbers could generate of taxable proceeds if the War on Drugs seizes and marijuana prohibition comes to an end.
The legalization of any form of simulative substance is important when constructing or upholding a broken community and nation. The undeviating debate whether marijuana (weed, or cannabis as other popular names) should be legal nationally, and universally, has been exasperatedly been on for many years throughout the world today. The impact marijuana has amongst the society of today’s interrupts the basic cognitive thinking whether marijuana should be legal state and province wise, nationally, and even universally for many of its positive effects it provides for our society whether it be medically, job-wise, or recreational reasons. Think about it, if alcohol, cigarettes, and the consumption of fatty foods known as junk food are legal shouldn’t
I believe we should be addressing this issue because Marijuana is considered the more illicit drug in the United States. It is a drug that we all have heard about or maybe seen pictures of online but does anyone really know what marijuana is actually made of. “Marijuana is a combination of shredded leaves, stems and flower buds of the Cannabis sativa plant. Marijuana can be smoked, eaten, vaporized, brewed and even taken topically, but most people smoke it” (Cox, 2017, para 1).
Marijuana, weed, pot or scientifically called cannabis is one of the topic that has been a debate for so many years. Legalization of marijuana would prove not to be strongly addictive and dangerous as many people believe. I strongly believe that the United States government should legalize it in the whole country because it will reduce the formation of gangs and put drug dealers out of business, also it will bring a lot of money to the government and there is a lot of medical benefit of this drug. The legalization of marijuana in the United States will be a really good idea to reduce the formation of gangs and drug dealers. Most of the drug dealers in the United States are either black or hispanic.
Marijuana Today, there are twenty-three legal medical marijuana states. While not many are in favor of this, there are also many who are all for it. The popular plant, Marijuana has been around for decades, but has recently been the most debated topic on whether the U.S. should have never legalized it in the first place, or whether it should continue to be illegal. Marijuana should be legalized because of the great medicinal benefits, huge economic boost, and simply because it is proven to be much safer compared to tobacco and alcohol. There are more and more states in the U.S. that are taking into consideration legalizing marijuana.
Imagine going to the doctor and being told that he recommends you smoke your medicine. In the last ten years we have been seeing more and more states make the move to legalize medical marijuana. An important aspect of making a decision as to whether this is a good or bad move is understanding what medical marijuana is in the first place. Like most topics as controversial as this, there is more to it than initially meets the eye.
With more people switching over to Vaping the environment has become cleaner. The smell of Cigarette butts can cause the air around to become Polluted with unhealthy and unsafe toxins for children of young ages. If a child where to breath in the toxins of tobacco it can cause major health problems because their body is not strong enough to fight off such strong toxins. Smoking is a main reason many smokers are obtaining lung cancer from being a smoker for multiple years(Conserve energy). Smoking has carcinogenic particles which is radiation that comes from the cigaret and promotes lung cancer.
Marijuana is a topic that causes significate debate in the United States. And I have discovered that it isn’t always easy to find profound research based information on marijuana that can answer question and concerns about this specific drug. Is it okay to make this drug legal in the United States, if it is legalized is it something that should only be legalized for medical use, or recreational use? I wanted to take the time to address some of the issues I feel people have the most questions about. Congress determined that marijuana is a Schedule I controlled substance.
