Are Zoos Unethical By:Kalynn Deppe An issue that has been hotly debated since the brink of zoos has been whether they are ethical or not. Although some believe that zoos can be beneficial to animals, thousands of research has shown this not to be true. The main reasons zoos are devious is because, there artificial environments are harmful, the animals are more prone to diseases, and it can damage children's views on society.
Zoos Should Be Banned Imagine you are five years old, someone breaks into your home, kills your aunt and possibly your older brother in the process of kidnapping you. You are separated from your loved ones, leaving your mother in severe pain and grief. You are taken somewhere unknown, imprisoned in a cell where people come watch you for their own entertainment.
I am for animals being kept in zoos. I am for it because it protects the animals and it also protects people in the process. My first reason I am for it is because it protects the animals. Studies show that animals live in zoos tend to live longer than animals in the wild.
These animals do not experience life the same way as they would in the wild and do not get the skills they need for when they are released back into the wild. In zoos, the animals quality of life is not the same as it would be in the wild. In the wild animals are able to roam freely. When they are placed in a small-enclosed habitats this changes their living condition extremely.

People can visit zoos for money and watch animals like they are in some kind of television show or commercial program what is done for people only. People have to notice that zoos are not people entertainment. It is seems like animals in zoos should be free and live in wildlife where they belong.
They learn a lot about the animals. Lastly, the main and important reason is that zoos stop animals from going extinct. They do this by giving the animals a open area to breed which saved many animal species. So think about it, whether animals are being treated poorly or not. Think about what will happen if the zoo was actually illegal.
To start, Zoos make animals in confinement hurt each other. According to Spanishzoos.org animals hurt each other. when they are in confinement together. This is bad because if the animals hurt each other they could kill each other or severely injure each other. animals even get ill because of zoos.(Spanishzoos.org).
I take the position that Zoos should be banned Introduction Torture. Abuse. Death. That is what zoo animals suffer while being imprisoned in zoos. Zoos ignore their animals natural needs, such as the need to hunt, run, and be free.
Within a zoo, thrilled and curious, children are screaming and laughing around at the sight of exotic or just fantastic live animals, while those captive animals display lukewarm expressions and do nothing but stroll back and forth or just doze off. They are seen so tepid that some kids even find a bird plucking out its own feathers and an elephant head-bobbing. Admittedly, visiting zoos, human beings, especially children, can have the opportunity to get closer to wild creatures, which presumably equips them with the knowledge about animals and sympathy.
