We’ve all heard a multitude of things about healthy sleep habits. Most of us probably think we’ve run the gamut on every possible tip, trick, or tool for getting more/better rest. Today, we won’t be regurgitating the same information we have all heard over and over. There are new studies, cutting-edge techniques, and interesting activities. Honestly, who isn’t tired of always being tired? Some days, it feels like I could sleep for a week and still not be caught up on my rest!

Take a look at some of the ways you could be impacted by sleep. • Sleep deprivation in students has been linked to lower GPAs because sleep affects concentration, memory and the ability to learn. • Physical and emotional responses to lack of sleep can include inflammation, obesity, out-of-whack blood sugar levels, and mood swings. • Drowsy driving is responsible for 20 percent of all car crashes.
