This presentation was a pharmacist by Alyssa Joherl. I liked that being a pharmacist get paid about 120,000 per year which is a little more than 2x the amount of the average range. Pharmacists also have many related occupations just in case you wanted to do something related but not a pharmacist. What I disliked about this career I did not like how you have to go to college for longer and might have to deal with not so nice patients. A similarity I found between pharmacists and animal trainers is that you have to administer medications.
Alin Kazanjian 01 / 27 / 2016 Professionalization: Professional Persona The Missions of the Premier Organizations in the Field of Pharmacy Professional pharmacy organizations provide the opportunity to strengthen one’s career, increase knowledge about drugs, access to more advanced resources and advance patient care. ACCP defined professionalism as “the conduct, aims, or qualities that characterize or mark a profession.” Professionalism plays a crucial role in molding a successful pharmacist while also upholding the desired ideals of a healthcare professional. The ACCP committee has developed the “Tenets of Professionalism for Pharmacy” that include altruism, honesty and integrity, respect for others, professional presence, professional stewardship, and dedication and commitment to excellence. I could remember myself as a young child venturing off from my toys to go exploring in my backyard. I would do things such as dig holes and catch animals. These animals could vary from ladybugs, worms, love bugs, and even lizards.
Mathematics has a huge impact and effect on the medications that people use every day. Furthermore, it is an outstanding at helping during calculations. Some examples of calculations of medicine would be: the volume of the saline solution required by the patient and the doses of drugs administration per person (Carroll 1993). Pharmacists use mathematics when they administer medication and prescriptions (Carroll 1993). The subject of math is used in medicine to measure the amount of doses that are given to the average person as well as enhancing those dosages into the medicine cups (Carroll 1993).
