College Admissions Essay: A Career As A Pharmacist

Science has an effect on everything that occurs in our life. Some children like myself, have a natural curiosity and love for science that could go unnoticed until later in life. I could remember myself as a young child venturing off from my toys to go exploring in my backyard. I would do things such as dig holes and catch animals. These animals could vary from ladybugs, worms, love bugs, and even lizards. Just from those adventures, I taught myself many things. For example, I learned that lizards have teeth and will bite. Even though I may have gotten bitten, I greatly enjoyed the entire learning process of it. I may have not realized it then, but at a very young age, I began showing countless signs of interest in science. As I got older and older, science became and still is my favorite subject. No matter whether it is biology or chemistry, it will intrigue me, and I will inevitably want to know more. …show more content…

Science, as a whole, is so innovative, forever advancing, and I absolutely love it. It will only make sense for me to pick a career in that subject area. By the sixth grade, I declared that I would become a pharmacist. Of course, between the sixth through twelfth grades, I changed my mind many times. I went through phases of wanting to be an athletic trainer, physician assistant, general practitioner, and even an astronomer. Even when I couldn't decide what career I wanted as my top choice, my second choice would always remain the same, pharmacy. By my senior year, I realized in sixth grade and still today, I would love to become a pharmacist, so I declared that as my future career. Even though I may have technically made the decision of being a pharmacist my senior year, the younger me knew exactly what was best. My mind was being clouded by the countless careers that are offered in today's society which gave me a case of what I now call "career
