The purpose of education is to enlighten each student in a way that allows them to achieve their full individual potential while gaining an appreciation and understanding of the information you have challenged them with during your instruction. Through education, students should discover what interests and motivates them most. Thus, allowing them to set and accomplish goals while becoming improved learners and citizens of the community.
Important to realize, are the numerous goals in education that require our utmost effort to pursue and achieve as educators. However, our primary focus extends beyond the mere retention of information concerning specific subject matter from our students. Each educator has the opportunity to influence the students in their growth academically and ethically which can exceed the boundaries of the classroom. We can facilitate personal development, providing each student with the tools necessary to excel in society. Ultimately, we should seek to cultivate a mindset within our students, through engaging classroom experiences, inspiring each learner to discover what intrinsically motivates them while encouraging the students to develop their own set of goals and interest within and beyond the classroom. …show more content…

By being an approachable educator, you provide the students with a supportive classroom atmosphere. Therefore, allowing them to feel confident probing questions and seeking answers.
