I unsure but I would say measuring a telescope that orbits Earth would be more advantageous. My reasoning is we may be better able to calculate the parallax because it would be close enough to use the distance formula. But if the telescope was orbiting around Neptune it would be harder to determine the telescope's parallax. Lab Report This lab covered how to use data to calculate the parallax and distance of items. Measuring angles of objects allows us to calculate the distance of these objects. It is also a way for astronomers to determine the distance of stars and other interstellar objects.
