Happiness is something humans have been pursuing for centuries. The quest for happiness is so cemented in the minds of human beings that it has been used as a method of control, and as a weapon against others. Humans are moths, ever drawn to the distant flame of joy. Over the past year I have learned much about this pursuit that has plagued humans for millennia. Pieces of literature like The Great Gatsby, Of Mice and Men and The Devil and Tom Walker all explore this pursuit in unique and diverse ways.
In Andrew Guest’s, “Pursuing the Science of Happiness” he argues the complexity of happiness and the pursuit in which you follow to gain it. The ultimate objective of life for some individuals all through the world is to accomplish the condition of happiness while doing the activities they cherish the most. Each individual satisfies his or her own particular measurement of happiness in different courses, from practicing their most loved game, being with their families and companions, to making a trip to exciting puts over the planet. Guest uses rhetoric and research to carry on his argument that speaks on the idea of reference anxiety, where people change their dreams based on financial standpoint, and they define financial prosperity with their happiness, which is superficial.
This utopian society fails because death causes sadness, especially when it's your family. The reader can gain knowledge on how important tradition is and how society cannot provide happiness to everyone, which is proven in this sad
This document stresses the influence of surroundings and the idea that a person should give weight or emphasis to experience and age as opposed to a single supreme source. Document 4 focuses on the codes of acceptable behavior in terms of taking the middle path. This document explains how an individual’s surroundings impact their decisions and how a perfect person focuses on a balance of the extremes and not on a commitment to just one path. Document 7 focuses on the codes or rules for understanding the balance between real and abstract for a more complete existence. This document continues the theme of balance between two concepts and is consistent with Confucian philosophy.
Ultimately, the human heart seeks comfort and familiarity. The inanity of the people in Ayn Rand’s Anthem shows how the whole of the laws and the controls of the City allow for the abolishment of the intellectual and psychological distinctiveness of the citizens and to replace it with a draconian net of collectivism and altruism. Throughout the story, a man named Equality 7-2521 becomes conscious of how the laws are turned against the progression that he wants. Equality grasps that loneliness is not the evil in society, but the never-ending nearness to everybody is the flaw of the society.
Today I will be talking about the holiday we call Halloween. Halloween is where we all dress up in costumes and get candy from houses on the thirty first of October. Here are three things about halloween. First, I am going to be talking the history of halloween.

Altruism and Egoism There once lived an altruistic person that loved to helped others. But that altruistic person was also a very egoistic person. Egoism is about the selfishness and the self-interest of human beings, while altruism is more about the selflessness, and the well-being of others. At first sight, egoism and altruism may seem to be two completely different behaviors.
One of the most-awaited moments of the year is right here once again. Dim neighborhoods are brightened by ghastly smiles of Jack-o '-lanterns in communities where the breeze is also slowly getting colder and the leaves that have fallen off of pines give each step a crunch. In a few days, children dressed like pirates, princesses, ghouls, and little monsters will be knocking on doors requesting goodies and several other goodies. Yet just before Halloween begins, you can delight the kids in your community by teaming up with several moms and dads and arranging a Halloween scavenger quest.

According to a theory in Psychology, all humans have a happiness “set- point” that determines their overall well-being. When something positive happens to a person, he becomes happy. On the other hand, when something negative happens to him, he becomes miserable.
