Plucky Siderer Character Analysis
Actor Summer Pliskow did an amazing job using the basic skills and showing emotions, even with the limited stage time. Most of the play she was to appear as a bratty actor/daughter, Pliskow showed this through her normal yet deliberate tempo, along with her body posture. Also, I noticed that Pliskow used Lessac’s pronunciation guide, to stress certain words to show her emotions. For example, at the end when Angela and Husband approach She, Pliskow stressed syllables of the words used to accuse He of being a loser, #1, and She’s boyfriend, b drumbeat. Characters' actions are driven by different traits. Above all, bravery drives these actions the most. Yetta from Uprising, Mitty from Code Orange, and Todd Beamer from Let’s Roll! are the three most brave characters introduced in the stories. Their actions significantly affect the stories in which they came. Bravery is the trait that drives characters' actions the most.
My character is Doodle from “The Scarlet Ibis.” I feel as if he has these three traits within him. They are Crazy, Motivated, and Trusting. I say he is crazy because in the very start of the story Big Brother says “Doodle was just about the craziest brother a boy ever had.”
What makes certain clothing respectable? By the way they are sewn or by the people that wear them, people have deemed some clothing to be more “respectable” than others. At Seton Hall Prep, students are required to wear a blazer, button down shirt, tie, and pants with a belt. To quote the Seton Hall Preparatory School’s student handbook, “it is our belief that one’s external appearance will reflect and also encourage certain internal attitudes that are essential to a Seton Hall Prep student.” Their philosophy presents that one’s first impression of their student will be that they are neat and orderly.
In the book “Across Five Aprils” by Irene Hunt, the author makes a few statements to portray her feelings toward the war, she uses the characters and their actions to show her emotions and thoughts about it. The views on war change throughout the book, in the beginning Tom and Jethro think war is going to be so cool, but as time went on their thoughts change. I believe one of her views from the book shows that she is passionate towards war, she uses Tom to demonstrate this. Tom is a soldier, and he is very passionate about what he does for the Union.
About a month ago, one of my roommate purchased a game from a pawnshop titled NFL STREET. The original plan was to start a league with the game for the sole purpose of getting to know one another better, to have something fun for us to do with our free time. However, not only has this game destroyed the chance to build friendships, but also ruined the lives of everyone in the dorm that plays it. At first we found the outrageous and absurd plays that were exhibited to be amusing; then the amusement turned into irritation, and from irritation, it then transformed into hatred. He arrives to work and see's Pino, his coworker, and son of Sal, give him a dirty look and said, " you are late". Pino is a racist person who does not like black people and does not get along with Mookie. In contrast, Vito is a nice and respectful individual who is friends with Mookie. It is with these four individuals that Sal's pizzeria had become so well known in New York. Sal is a person who likes to help everyone and is a well-rounded individual.
We begin by beginning, I guess. " Montag from Fahrenheit 451 is a good example of someone who carries those traits. A hero is the best kind of person that someone can be.
The novel Legend by Mari Lu stands out from others. Mari Lu uses a protagonist and antagonist to add a conflict in her novel. Doing this shows that “narratives contain a primary protagonist, who is the focus of the narration. In contrast, antagonists are usually portrayed in a negative fashion, and thus, viewers may feel a sense of counter empathy toward them”(Magliano 1). The antagonist should be at least the equal in strength of the protagonist, and preferably stronger.
“I suffer for His sake as He did for yours, I miswear my shoes for mortification” (Erdrich 146). Tracks shows the audience spiritual tensions between the White people and the Ojibwa culture. It gave us three very different spiritual experiences, Nanapush who tricks us, Fleur who is very spiritual and traditional and Pauline who wants to cover up her Indian heritage. Nanapush does not elaborate often on his spiritual views just like the Midewiwin spirit which is also a very mysterious and secretive, much like Nanapush (Henderson, Secret Ojibwa Tribe). The audience sees him asking for forgiveness for his sinning with Margaret, but also he discusses Indian spirituality as well “We are tricksters in the blood, natural mixed blood trickster”(Vizenor, 18).
When the word hero is spoken, many may immediately think of a character like Superman. Superman can fly and has extreme strength, allowing him to help his city. What truly makes Superman a hero is how he puts these skills to use with his outstanding personality qualities. Odysseus, from the Odyssey, also has overlapping traits of a hero. He is not gifted with supernatural capabilities but still put in an effort to help his men and community.
Miniver Cheevy, in “Miniver Cheevy,” has a few character traits that show his true personality. The reader sees his traits as being single, of a low social status, a drunk, and being lazy. The author shows many other traits in the short story, but these three are what make his personality. His overall personality as being an underachiever is seen in the character traits.
My character traits help me to gain the trust and respect of my peers as they believe me to be extremely creative and a dependable person. I have great problem-solving skills; I tend to think outside the box and I have

“Two Kinds,” by Amy Tan, essentially revolves around the struggle of Jing Mei and her constant conflict with her mother. Throughout her life, she is forced into living a life that is not hers, but rather her mom’s vision of a perfect child; because her mother lost everything, which included her parents and kids, so her only hope was through Jing Mei. Jing Mei’s mom watches TV shows such as the Ed Sullivan Show, which gives her inspiration that her daughter should be like the people and actors. First her mom saw how on the television a three-year-old boy can name all the capitals of the states and foreign countries and would even pronounce it correctly.
