Jean Baptiste point du sable Jean Baptiste Point du sable was the first settler in Chicago. Born in Saint-domingue in 1745 he became the founder of Chicago. Du Sable had a mother who was an African- born slave and his father was French. Not much is really known about what he did during his early life. There is a chance that he might of studied in France, and had a job as a sailor.
On October 3, 1974, at around 10:45 pm, Elton Hymon and Leslie Wright of the Memphis Police Department were responding to a “prowler on the inside” call. They made the scene and observed a woman in the house next to the intended home of the call. She was standing on her front porch pointing at the house. She advised that she had heard glass breaking and someone was breaking into the house next door. As Wright showed both officers on the scene on his radio to dispatch, Hymon went to the rear of the house.

Bonge Stoof was a name that struck fear into many of the citizens of the thirteen colonies. He was known for being brutal with his prisoners, ravaging houses of innocent people, and killing his own country men. He and his squad of men were getting more and bolder in their attempts of taking down the thirteen colonies and had recently blown up a shipment of gunpowder.
Hattie Big Sky Hattie Big Sky is about a sixteen year old girl who receives a letter from her late uncle that says that he has a homestead in Minnesota for her. Hattie agrees to move so she can finally stop being Hattie Here-and-There, and start being herself with a place she can finally call home. The anecdote is about what happens when she is living on the claim. Kirby Larson transcribed Hattie Big Sky, which Larson based off of her great-grandmother’s claim out west. Hattie has rough times in Montana, however, Hattie earns friends and gives it her all.

This is a mark in history because she will not only be the first African-American to appear on United States paper currency, but also the first woman in over a century. The original plan was to have a woman replace founding father Alexander Hamilton on the $10 bill. But that plan was revoked according to Jacob Lew, the Treasury Secretary, when the Pulitzer Prize winning Broadway musical portraying Hamilton’s life gained a lot of support, as reported by USA Today.

His family was from Ireland and Scottish decent. When he was young he was captured by group of pirates off the coast of Texas and was forced to become a pirate.
Black Warrior River, named after Chief Tushkalusa, is very important to the Alabama community. It spans 300 miles, starting from the Appalachian Highlands to the Tombigbee River. The river serves as a good source of drinking water and hydroelectric power. It flows through more than 17 counties and gives water to surrounding communities such as Tuscaloosa, Birmingham, Bessemer, Cullman, Jasper, and Oneonta.

Captain Phillip arrived at Sydney Cove on the 26th of January 1788, with instructions to establish a British colony. Governor Arthur Phillip was aware that the Aboriginal people would be unsympathetic to the British, but he wanted to establish friendly relations so that both the British and the Indigenous people could live happy a peacefully lives. At Botany Bay, Captain Phillip was opposed by the Aboriginals that lived in the area. Unlike Captain Cook who had shot at the Aboriginal people, Phillip had put down his weapons and they did the same. Connection with the Indigenous people at Botany Bay from that time was tense but friendly.
Brom Island Brom 's Island is based off entirely off of my own dreams, ideas and visions of reality of my day to day life. This island is an existing planet far beyond space and time. I will give a brief summary a little about my island; It started in 2014 around October when I was having more vivid dreams. He was born towards the end of King Henry VII’s reign. It is believed that when he was young, he was a choir boy of the Chapel Royal St.James palace. In 1532 he started as an organist at the Benedictine Priory in Dover.
