The Democratic-Republicans transform the political culture of America. They were also the beneficiaries of the first bloodless Revolution. this political culture was named Jeffersonian Democracy. (Schultz, 2013). Jefferson focused on reducing the size of the government, the development of the first national court system, and expanding the agrarian republic.
Through the fundamental ideals of the founding fathers the United States government has been sculpted into a variation of a democracy influenced by Madison, Jefferson, and Hamilton. These men each provided concepts and qualities of their respective government that are directly reflected in the constitution and the bill of rights. Although, conflicting principals can be identified through each individual’s interpretation of a democracy, there is no doubt Madison, Jefferson, and Hamilton structured our government into what it is today. Madison described a democracy in which wealth needed to be equally distributed among the people in order to function.
The development of a two-party political system manifested by 1795 between the Democratic-Republican Party and the Federalists (Schultz, 2009). Obviously, each party viewed itself as America’s revolutionary ideologist and perceived their opponent’s views as illegitimate. The Democratic- Republican Party, also known as the Republican Party or the Jeffersonian Republicans, preferred a limited government. This party united with one another against Hamilton’s economic policies and Jay’s Treaty. They were against boosting the power of the federal government.
The American government was founded by democratic principles in order to serve the will of the people. Thus the people and their opinion are the basis of American government. Political scientist V. O. Key Jr. stated that public opinion must not only exist, but it must be heard by policy decisions (Yolaf, 266). Public opinion has the power to justify president’s policies, for interest groups to promote their causes, and for journalists to describe public preferences. One popular way to show public opinion is through voting.

The Republican Party conflict all started out after the War of 1812 was over. The leaders of the republican party are both James Madison and Thomas Jefferson. Their main role was to support the boundaries on the power of the national government and a powerful clarification of the U.S constitution. They also held the destiny of the dominion changed into depending on maintaining an agrarian society. Thomas Jefferson and James Madison also sustained France.
We see Democrats and Republicans as two different parties with different views but at one point in time they were one single party called Democrats-Republicans. They were organized by James Madison and Thomas Jefferson in 1791. While this party was established there were only four presidents who made office during this time and they were Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, James Monroe, and Quincy Adams. What the Democrats-Republicans job was to go against the Federalist Party when elections came around. After the war in 1812 the Federalist Party lost most of its supporters and ended up disbanding.

The modern Democrats are historically descended from the Democratic-Republican Party that Jefferson himself organized to thwart the ambitions of Alexander Hamilton (although, ironically, they were known as "Republicans" in Jefferson 's time). Democrats around the country annually celebrate Jefferson-Jackson Dinners, avowedly declaring a connection between Jefferson and the modern Democratic Party. But Republicans claim that their platform of small government and low taxes is more in line with true Jeffersonian philosophy than that of the big-government Democrats.

Along with the Whig Party, the Democratic Party was also split due to alienation and separation between the Northern and Southern Democrats.
In the year of 2016, a heated and and controversial presidential election took place. With both candidates came different viewpoints, ideas, and beliefs. No matter how the election were to turn out, many were going to be angry about the outcome. They knew that in the future decisions would be made that could potentially hurt their families, jobs, salaries, and values. This is no different from what many pieces of American Literature show about the government.
People regardless of their social status , financial standing, or life experiences are susceptible to corruption, selfishness, and misjudgment and for this reason are in need of an impartial government. However, what guides a government and keeps it from making these mistakes or guards it so that it doesn't overstep its bounds? In the case of the government of the United States of America the answer is a constitution. The Constitution of the United States of America is the framework and reference of government and covers many essential issues regarding representation, elections and laws. The Constitution, wasn’t created in a day.
