The Industrial Revolution began in Britain in the late 1700's, manufacturing was often done in people's homes, using hand tools, or basic machines. Industrialization changed United States from manual machine-based manufacturing to more technical and machine-based manufacturing. While industrialization brought about an increased volume and variety of manufactured goods and improved standard of the living for some, it also resulted in poor and working classes. This cause a change to society economic growth, increased immigration, as increased urbanization.
A little later locomotives was invented. From Britain the Industrial Revolution spread quickly through Western Europe and to the United States. Without the Revolution there wouldn’t be no trains, automobiles, airplanes, and even lights. The creation of power machines and factories provided many new jobs opportunities. Urban area doubled, tripled in size which led to overcrowding cities. Which caused health problems been though the population was too big. In the inner city living conditions were dirty and unhealthy. Cities were unsanitary and diseases filled in the streets. There wasn't no building codes or laws that were protecting those tenants. Working in the factories also had a negative effects. Factories work place was dirty and dangerous. The workers were underpaid and overworked. They didn't get enough money for the labor they were providing.
Child labor also become a huge problem. Children of the poor work from night to day. But before the machines was invented, work by children as well by adults was needed in order to provide for the family. Causing children little time to play, and no education. Being though the US was so crowded, and immigrants was taking over because they accept a lower pay than citizens that live in the US causing people to lose their work or have to work twice as
