Prenatal/Perinatal Development James was born on September 23rd, 2005. He was a healthy young baby, born with no genetic defects and thankfully that stayed that way. When he was born, he was immediately assessed by the APGAR test. Overall, James came out with a total score of 5. The appearance resulted in a 2, meaning it was completely pink or good color. James's pulse resulted in a 1, meaning he had fewer than 100 beats per minute, indicating that he was not very responsive. His grimace earned a 1, meaning he grimaced during stimulation. His activity earned a 1 as well, meaning there was some flexing or bending of the arms and legs. And lastly, his respiration score was a 0, meaning he was not breathing at the first minute APGAR test. He needed to go to a school that will allow him to become aware socially. Private schools do not have the same effect on the children as public schools can because, the same reason the for home-schooled children, they are not accustomed to the fact that there are many hardships in life, not just academic wise, but socially and psychologically. James goes to a public school along with his older sister Emily, who is a year older than him. He would sit at the younger kid table while Emily would sit with the other older kids. James would eat a wide variety of vegetables, fruits, and some protein. For example, James would have some broccoli, peanut butter and jelly, and apple available most of the time to have a nutritious lunch. When it came to "screen time", James was only allowed to have as much time as he wanted until he was finished with his homework, but still needed to uphold the curfew at 8 pm. With his same continuous diet, James was able to maintain an average size body and hopefully continue the same dietary standards during
