Summary of the Drowned and the Saved In the book Survival in Auschwitz by Primo Levi, Primo Levi describes in chapter 9 “The Drowned, and the Saved” is about many different people that did not survived and many that did. Primo Levi explained many groups and people who had an advantage of staying alive many who didn’t know what to do. To begin, the Musselman were a group of people that just didn’t know what life was anymore. They gave up completely and didn’t have a plan to survive.
