Health education can be defined as a process that informs, motivates and helps people to adopt and maintain healthy practices and lifestyles, advocates environmental changes as needed to facilitate this goal and conducts professional trainings and research to the same end. People are glad to learn new things daily and to find solutions to their problems. Community members are always ready to be involved in finding solutions to their health problems and hence whenever there is a health education program where the educator involves the community members they are always glad to make their contributions. The leaders are of great help to the health education program because they are the ones who give the approval for this programs to hold and they also help by gathering their followers to ensure they listen to this health talks. There are lots of different people in the society with different educational levels but what matters is that all of them should understand the topic of discussion and contribute where possible.
APPLICATION TO CURRENT JOB: health education program is normally carried out in my place of work. It is carried out in the antenatal clinics, in the ward when patients are been prepared for discharge and also in the clinic during regular checkups.
