One example of an interest group is AARP. AARP is a United States interest group with membership. It was founded in 1958 by Ethel Percy Andrus, Ph.D. And Leonard Davis. AARP has vast membership so it is able to generate its own income without being dependent on government grants or private donors. Good evening delegates. We are here today to talk to you about the strengths of the Articles of Confederation. The Articles of Confederation are our first attempt at a new government. We are allowed to declare war, peace, and sign treaties with foreign nations, which we were not granted to do under British rule. The Articles of Confederation also enable us to have a say in political matters.

This is mainly because of their geographical locations as well as the needs of the community and the resources of each department (Cordner, 2016). Another reason is that while these four departments work to ensure the preservation of life, property, and maintaining order, they may not possess the same core values. While all four of these departments have the mission of community policing and protecting citizens constitutional rights, only Portland and Houston express their goal of preserving life, protecting property, and maintaining order. The Madison Police Department is not

Organizations that operate for-profit healthcare argue that they offer patients more options and flexibility. On the other hand, nonprofits claim to provide a superior patient experience and are more cost-effective. In keeping with their charitable mission and community focus, nonprofit hospitals are often affiliated with a particular religious denomination. For-profit hospitals are either owned by investors or shareholders of a publicly-traded company. For-profit healthcare entities are more likely to prioritize treatments that generate higher profits, such as open-heart surgeries.
