Privilege Essay

I learned privilege and capitalism which change and influence in the society system. Privilege which means one who enjoy more rights than the general public in society and use his/ her power to control others decisions. Now tends to refer particular classes because of the social system derived unfair; for example, rich people have more benefits and rights than others classes. The main power due to innate that control to have a high position or manipulative people. Therefore, privilege related to racism, heterosexism, ageism and class bias and so on.

We played a game in the lesson, which make me have a deep impression on that game and let me more easy to understand what is “privilege”. At first, teacher asked us to screwed to the paper and crumpled paper balls thrown into the recycling bucket. At that moment I was sitting far away with the recycling box, I thought that “How can I throw the paper ball into the recycling bucket?” Also, it is not fair too because the students who were sitting in the front side that have more opportunities to throw the ball into the bucket. Therefore, in the front of students were successfully dropped, while in the back side just few students who were lucky or handful to throw the paper ball into the bucket. Finally, I understanding that what is it meaning for this game. Meanwhile, students who close to the recycling bins that can easier to dropped and they do not complain because they only see the distance between the target to own, which means that they have privilege.
