I am eager to apply for the full-time production assistant position. My vast experience with film and video production, along with with my overwhelming desire to create captivating and meaningful, online content, make me an ideal candidate for this job.

Over the past fourteen years, I have worked in all capacities of filmmaking, including: Cinematographer, Editor, Director, Writer, Assistant Director, Gaffer/Grip, Sound Recordist and Production Assistant on over 80 short films (narrative and experimental), as well as features, documentaries, music videos, corporate videos, television programs, web videos and commercials. I received my MFA in Film with honors from Columbia University and graduated cum laude with a BA in Visual Media from American University. My thesis film, Loop Planes (2010), has won numerous awards, including a production grant from Killer Films/massify.com and has screened at over fifty festivals worldwide. I worked for several production companies in Brooklyn and Washington, D.C., going on to teach documentary filmmaking at The Gateway School in NYC, where I collaborated with students to create a documentary on climate change, soon to be released by The Climate Reality Project. Recently, my wife and I rescued a pit bull, Stella, and due to her intense phobias (including shadows and the sound of flags flapping in the wind), I have begun studying animal psychology and behavior.
