Law enforcements use profiling to their advantage. I do not agree with profiling, in my opinion it is a sense of discrimination. According to the hot topic section “Profiling rests on the beliefs that certain stereotypes are a good guide to prevent and solve illegal activities” (Hot Topic 10).Although profiling in the eyes of law enforcement is useful for them to crack down on crimes. It does not give them a right to stereotype a person that belongs to a certain group. People should not have to accept being treated like criminals in public all because one person in that group has set a bad example. This is where profiling has its challenges when innocent people are being harassed. The police office has knowledge about the Islam people and how radical some are. Also due to the 9/11 event that involved Osama Bin Laden who was a radical Islam. Radical Islam can be described in many ways it just depends on the perspective of that leader/person. Starting with Muammar Gaddafi definition that stated “Radical Islam became a way to re-make these countries, re-creating ancient glories and giving its young followers sense of power that that they had never experienced” (Unit 10). That quote shows how Gaddafi defines radical Islam. All who associates with radical Islam have several things in common they all just choose to re-make things in their own unique way. Whether it’s giving sermons are attacking another country to show how loyal they are to their religion. From Bin Laden perspectives he wanted to protect his religion, people, and country. By doing that he came up with a plan to attack America. According to Unit 10, “In 1998, bin Laden and four other prominent Islamist leaders declared a fatwa against Americans and their allies”(Unit
